This weld-on bracket for the R150 transmission crossmember goes together with the 3VZE-to-OM617 Motor Mounts. The new motor mounts move the engine/transmission back. This slopes the engine backwards by roughly 4°. The OM617 has a factory rearward slope of ~3° in the Mercedes 300.  Installation of this bracket will require approximately 4.5" of driveshaft legnthening/shortening. IFS trucks may not require front driveshaft modification.
